The indoor ladies league drew to a finish today with another win under our belts with a 3 run win against Knebworth - sounds familiar !
The team all contributed - Elizabeth/Gaby/Tilly/Asu/Nicole/Meghana/Millie D. - special mention to Asu has she has not picked up a bat for a long time.
Two wins was a fair return for the team considering the experience of all the opposition. and shows progress from last year -we keep faith the girls continual progress and hope they listen and learn (ideally from their own experiences and from how the other teams play).
Look out for emails on the indoor training sessions - starting 29th January !
Thank you Paula for the team photographs from last year's finals- I hope to arrange for framed copied to be mounted on the clubhouse wall in the New Year.
Re recruitment and giving girls and their brothers even, opportunities in South West Herts-to give cricket a go- we would welcome contacts so we can undertake taster sessions or provide posters advertising our existence at the very least! A good example is Helen Smithson at Rickmansworth Park school- through the introduction of some very sporty girls has strengthened the group at the lower end. She is very pleased for her girls getting involved and giving the sport a go.
