Abbots Langley Cricket Club Sat 1st XI squad

Covid has hit the world in 2020 and changed the norm

ALCC are changing with it.....

Sat 1st XI Sat 1st XI

Captain : Bradley Finch

Club Captain for the covid-19 affected 2020, could be a record if I get voted out next year after not captaining a single league game.

Collected a lot of jumpers over the years and probably the biggest badger in the whole club, if not a very close second to Scott Nixon.

Love not converting a 40 into a score, and learning to bowl again after gaining the use of my shoulder again after 4 years playing with one arm.

Challenge any man to downing a pint of stowford press down the Manor House after the game.

Vice Captain : Matthew Parkins

Behind Carly and Longers probably the hairiest man in the club.

Loves 25 plus wickets and 500 runs in a season......can he keep doing this please

Lovely bloke in the bar, if only he could be the same on the cricket field, now he's not captain hopefully he can relax and perform even better on the pitch this year.

Integral piece of the jigsaw for the big promo push

James Allan

This man is gonna take over the no.1 spinners spot at ALCC any time soon !!!

Captain is slowly converting this young gun....

Now he hasn't got a bunch of 21st birthdays to go to this year, hopefully he stays down the club for more beers. FYI great beer pong partner

Jack Bishop

1/2 of the Paddington Destroyers

Future chairman/constant badger x

Matt Dunstone

A runner but plays cricket in his spare time. Bit stroppy left arm spinner. Going blind in his old age.

William Graves
Senior player
Nick Gurney
Walrus from Bricket wood
Simon Hamilton

Apparently Simon carved the tree that used to be in the middle of Abbots pitch into his cricket bat...........Potentially the tallest man to ever play for ALCC

Classy Classy batsman who loves a leg side flick through midwicket, however if you score over 500 of those who am I to complain

Fantastic bloke, lovely abs which is a personal highlight, O and when the pitches are hard he bumps out people (great to watch)

Scott Nixon
Right arm off spinner
Right handed batsmen
Jack Read

Exceptionally gifted cricketer at 15, now only quite good.

Barry Warner
Back in the runs last year but did not really deserve the batsman of the year 2 batters got more runs than me! Aim to win it on true merit this year. My hero is still the Hemel all rounder Nick Hodgins.
