Dear All,

The league season has ended and we are already planning and preparing for next year with indoor training for the juniors/indoor leagues arranged.

After a challenging year- all four Saturday sides finished 7th in their respective leagues- with the 3 upper teams being very bipolar- going through various runs of wins and defeats with only one drawn game between them. So no shame in the positions attained but as a club - next year - it would be good to raise the overall 'average ' re performances and lessen the lows. Something to ponder at this Friday's meeting.

The Sunday side finishing a respectable 5th out of 10  in the Chess Valley despite playing with 10 players in many a match. The ladies team looking like finishing at least 5th possibly even upto 3rd  in their league which is respectful considering our experience at this stage of their development.

I thought the attendance and the junior presentation evening was very good- knowing not everyone could attend and the positivity felt from those attending bodes well for the future.

I am encouraging all members to attend the EGM on Friday has we wish to review many aspects of the club - as the agenda intimates. The main aim is to create a platform to maintain and develop the club in the way we want-- 'we' being you the membership.

It is the members who make the club and this is a big opportunity to collective understand where we are, and what direction we wish to take- ensuring the foundation blocks are in good shape.
